The process

Export from Substack
Download your contact list as a CSV. Only export active, subscribed contacts.
Step 2
Import into Resend
In Resend, go to Contacts → Add Contacts → Import CSV. Map email, first_name, last_name, and any custom fields.
Step 3
Sync in Driplane

How to export from Substack
- 1In Substack, go to Subscribers
- 2Click the "Export" button (top right) — you'll download a CSV with all active subscribers
- 3Open the CSV and confirm the email column is clean before import

Things to watch out for
Substack exports include paid subscriber status — use it as a segment in Driplane (e.g., only send premium drips to paid subscribers)
Substack doesn't expose tags, so tag your subscribers fresh in Driplane based on behavior
Honor Substack's unsubscribes — don't re-enroll anyone who opted out
