The process

Export from Mailchimp

Download your contact list as a CSV. Only export active, subscribed contacts.

Step 2

Import into Resend

In Resend, go to Contacts → Add Contacts → Import CSV. Map email, first_name, last_name, and any custom fields.

Step 3

Sync in Driplane

How to export from Mailchimp

    In Mailchimp, go to Audience → All contacts

    Click "Export Audience" and wait for the email with the download link

    Unzip the file and open the subscribed_members CSV (only email subscribed users are safe to import)

Things to watch out for

Only import the "subscribed" segment — skip cleaned and unsubscribed lists to protect your sender reputation
Mailchimp tags become Resend custom properties; you can then re-tag in Driplane for segmentation
Warm up your Resend sending domain before you blast your full list — sudden volume spikes hurt deliverability
